The high-curcumin group. If you're buying for potency β supplement units, golden-milk blends, anyone quoting a percentage β these are the ones worth paying more for.
Pasupu Β· Turmeric Β· and what grows beside it
Most turmeric is sold as just "turmeric". We sell it by variety β Lakadong, Rajendra Sonia, Pragati, BSR-2, Rajapuri, Salem, NDH, Armoor local, and the two rare Curcumas β because the variety decides the colour, the curcumin and what it's good for. Alongside it: corn, millets, dal and sesame from the same belt.

Side by side
Curcumin is what most buyers are really asking about, but it isn't the only thing that separates these. Size, colour and drying behaviour matter just as much depending on what you're doing with it.
Curcumin figures are indicative variety averages, not batch results β a lab report for your specific lot can be arranged on request. Rates shown are indicative and confirmed at the time of order.
Corn, millets, pulses & oilseeds
Bulk & trade
Most of what leaves here goes out in lots, not retail packs β to traders, millers, masala units and farmers buying seed rhizome for the next planting. Tell us the variety and the quantity and we'll quote against the current rate.
How an order runs
Not sure which one? Tell us what you're making and we'll point you at the right one.
Rates move with the market, so we confirm against the day's price before packing.
Sorted and graded, then packed variety-wise so nothing gets mixed in transit.
Courier for retail packs, transport arranged from the belt for bulk lots.
Why we bother naming them
The high-curcumin group. If you're buying for potency β supplement units, golden-milk blends, anyone quoting a percentage β these are the ones worth paying more for.
Bold fingers, even drying, dependable yield. This is what moves through the mandi and into masala grinding β bought on look and bulk as much as on assay.
Nalla pasupu and mamidi allam aren't cooking turmeric at all β they go into pickle, medicine and ritual. The Armoor landrace sits apart too: it's what the belt grew before the released varieties came.
Turmeric is lifted once a year and the grades are settled soon after. Leave your email and we'll tell you when the new lots are in, what each variety is testing at and what it is going for.
